"In the midst of death, art requires a distinct, mystical courage, an audacity that says not only do I have a right to exist, but I believe my existence will add to the fabric of the universe. I will make."

Ceramics
Few things in this world have grounded and at the same time mirrored me as much as working with clay. She truly feels like the most raw, most primal of materials and is part of the creation myths of many cultures as what materialized the earth & her creatures from idea to form. Clay sings, and her song is one that involves all elements - soil, water, wind & heat. To me, there is little difference between ceramics and alchemy.
In my work with clay, I am mostly self-taught, but have been lucky enough to study with some amazing ceramicists all around Europe. I handbuild all my pieces and try to give them shapes, textures & finishes that resemble their muse - the natural world.
I am currently exploring the great mysteries of wild clay, pitfiring and glazes made from rocks & other materials collected in nature. Not all my pieces are made in this primitive way, but each one that is holds a memory older than time itself. The act of making in this way is simultaneously a ritual of remembrance.
You can find clay pieces like unique vases, cups, teapots, incense bowls, herbal spoons and vessels for potions in the E A R T H section of my shop.
Being shaped by the mother

Basketry & textile work
I come from a long lineage of textile workers. My grandmother was a seamstress. It was her & my mother who taught me how to sew, weave, knit, crochet, mend my ragged socks and design my own clothes from a very young age. There is a photograph of my great-great-grandmother on the spinning wheel that I think about each time I spin my own wool. There is a thread that runs through my blood, and connects me to all the women who came before me, without whom I wouldn't be here.
Living in the middle of the forest for some years, I was seduced by the landscape to involve dry grasses, barks & branches into my woolen weavings. This birthed a deep love for weaving with natural fibers, and soon enough, I found myself making all sorts of wild textiles & pouches, until I eventually learned the ancient art of basketry.

Animist art
The way I perceive and make art is deeply influenced by my admiration for the animate world around me. Almost every creative impulse I have comes from nature.
I always loved to draw & paint, but it wasn't until a few years ago that I realized I could make most of the materials I needed for that myself - with what I'd find in nature! Paper, paint, brushes... This brought an inexplicable freedom & endless possibilities to my art process, and added another layer of meaning. All of a sudden, there was no "bad art" anymore, there was just immersion in the materials gifted by the land. As if I had touched the original stream of creation.
This is what I want to awaken in others. The courage to simply use what surrounds them and transform it through there hands, playfully, without expectation, without judgement. But as a ritualistic act of recuperating our right to co-create this reality.
In the A R T section of my shop, you'll discover all kinds of nature-inspired art making supplies - wild pigments, inks, natural brushes & handbound books. There's also a few selected fine art prints of my own abstract pieces, which mostly involve botanical motives or archaic symbology.

Botanical preparations
Oh, the plants. They might very well be the love of my life. I studied them from all sorts of angles - scientific, botanical, ethnobotanical, clinical, shamanic... For many years, I had an herbal medicine business where I'd make seasonal botanicals that folks loved, and taught about plant medicine in classes & workshops. At some point I realized that I had fallen into a trap. The trap of modern medicine traditions where plants are USED rather than sensed, loved, befriended, sought for council.
Now I mostly just share time with plants, in gardens, fields & forests. Some, I grow, some I gather. I make small batches of medicine for my loved ones, or incorporate herbs into my personal rituals and art projects.
Very rarely, when I hear a call, I prepare larger batches of plant medicines to offer via my shop. They are mostly wildcrafted, otherwise ethically sourced, seasonal remedies for body & soul, infused with ancestral whispers and a decade of experience.
Find precious preparations like herbal elixirs, incense blends or aromatic anointments in the R I T U A L section of my shop, alongside handcrafted ritual accessories for your medicine journey.
