Raw hide rattle
Archaic music instrument from deer hide & antlers
A whisper from the deer folk, guardians of the forests & teachers of gentle strength, so that we can remember our original ways and re-assume our roles as stewards of this earth!
As crafted for thousands of years by primitive tribes & cultures, these rawhide rattles carry the deer spirit as they help us immerse in profound states of trance, ritual & introspection.
They make a clear, sharp, yet gentle rattling sound.
Made from rawhide that me & my husband prepared ourselves from deer skins. Filled with mung beans.
Each design is entirely unique, with the loving details and lovely imperfections that come with handcrafted products. Real life colours may vary a little from those in the pictures.
Size: approx. 20 - 24cm
All materials used have been recycled from local hunters or deer farms - they would have been thrown to the garbage otherwise! By rescueing and re-designing the antlers & hides of the deer, we give them a new meaning and purpose.
